G Force Logbook and SchedulingGet the app
Version 1.0.97 · Android · test copy, outside the Play Store
Download for Android1. Download it
- Tap the button above. If Chrome warns that "this type of file can harm your device", tap Download anyway (or OK).
- When the download finishes, tap the download notification, or open the Files app → Downloads and tap G-Force-Logbook-and-Scheduling-1.0.97.apk.
2. Allow apps from outside the Play Store (once)
Because this copy doesn't come from the Play Store, Android asks for permission the first time:
- A message says "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source." Tap Settings.
- Turn on Allow from this source (the source is the app you opened the file with: Chrome or Files).
- Go back with the back button. The install screen is waiting; tap Install.
Didn't get that message? Turn it on yourself: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → pick
Chrome (or Files) → Allow from this source. On some phones it is Settings → Apps → ⋮ (top right) → Special
access → Install unknown apps. Then open the downloaded file again.
"Blocked by Play Protect" / "Unsafe app blocked"? That's the phone's standard warning for any app that isn't from its store. Tap
More details, then Install anyway. You can turn the permission off again afterwards; the app keeps working.
3. Sign in
- Open G Force from your apps. Sign in with the email address you were invited with. A 6-digit code arrives by email; there is no password.
- Settings → Airline: save your crew login. It stays on your phone, and syncs run from your phone.
Updates
This copy doesn't update itself. Come back to this page now and then (the version number at the top tells you if there is a newer one) and install it over the old one (your sign-in and settings stay).
Two G Force apps on your phone? Versions 1.0.34 to 1.0.36 installed as a separate app, and no download updates that copy.
Keep the newer one and uninstall the other: press and hold its icon, then App info (it shows the version) →
Uninstall. Every version from now on installs over the one you kept. If you sync with your airline, it may ask for your
crew login once.
iPhone: the app is on the way. Until then, open
gforcelog.com in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen.
If you later install the app from the store, uninstall this test copy first: the store copy is signed differently and can't update over it.
